Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! I'm not going to go into a lot of details on our Christmas day because, we basically played it real low with three of us in the family having colds. I slept all afternoon while Brock watched the Suns play their basketball game. Jay was on the computer loading 80's songs onto his IPOD, Drake upstairs playing the play station, and Madie entertained herself by either watching movies or playing with her new toys. It was wonderful to not be bothered. That night we were all bored and cabin fevered so we decided to open up the church to go shoot some hoops. We all had a blast and Jay and I even played some one on one. I don't think I quite enjoyed my jelly roles jiggling so much as I was guarding him. We still had our moves but the shot was gone. We laughed our heads off or I should say I did because once again he got hurt while defending me.

Food Storage

Well today we got our order of a half a cow and a little pig to pick up today. So I hauled the kids and off we went to load up nearly 900 lbs. of meat in my van. I started to panic as all my freezer space was getting used up and I still needed to unload a huge box. When I went back out to our huge chest freezer, I noticed that we still had plenty of space that Brock had over looked, so I was saved. We are set for the year and I am so relieved to have space for it all!!!

Christmas gift

We decided to give the kids a Christmas gift early by taking them to the Out of Africa zoo just 3 miles outside of Camp Verde. We all enjoyed ourselves and the highlights that were offered in the park. I personally don't know if it is still worth the money that they wanted, but needless to say it was a treat! Here are some of the highlights. Lions roaring back and forth to each other, the tigers interacting with the employees in Tiger Splash and feeding the Giraffe up close and personal!

Tis the season

It's the crazy month of commercialism for Santa Clause and getting that perfect gift. Hopefully we will all remember to stop and really think of the the true meaning of Christmas... which is Christ's birth and his love for us and our love for him. His "helping hands" have been such a blessing in our life!

Earlier this month Jay was able to sing in the Christmas Cantata. It was excellent and afterwards the gym was full of nativity sets, it was breathtaking on how they decorated the gym. I absolutely loved it! We plan to go to Mesa and see the temple lights and feel the spirit and also check out Glendale Glitters.
